Shower Glass in Masaar

Masaar is Arada’s new villa community in Sharjah — streets of new family homes being handed over and moved into, wave by wave. In a community this young, shower glass is a move-in decision: what the developer fitted, what they left open, and what you want finished properly before the house settles into daily use. ShowerTubGlass measures, makes and fits custom shower glass across Masaar — complete enclosures where handover left a gap, upgrades where the standard specification feels thin, and bath screens where the family bathroom came with a curtain rail. Everything is made to measure in 10mm glass, with hardware in chrome, black or gold, resolved around the opening you actually have. Send photos of your bathroom on WhatsApp and the conversation starts there; the wider picture is on our shower glass in Sharjah page.

The homes and bathrooms of Masaar

Masaar’s housing is new villas throughout — modern family homes at the very start of their working lives. That newness shapes the glass work:

  • Master ensuites follow the current pattern: a defined shower area with room for a hinged door, a fixed panel with a door beside it, or a corner layout where the shower wraps a wall — the arrangements our corner and L-shaped enclosure layouts guide works through.
  • Handover specification is the variable. From villa to villa, what was fitted differs: a basic screen in one bathroom, a fixed panel in another, an open tiled shower in a third. The first job in a Masaar home is usually an honest read of what is actually there.
  • Family bathrooms commonly pair a bath with a shower over it, handed over with a curtain — the bath screen is the standard first upgrade.
  • New walls are not true walls. Fresh tiling and new plaster settle; openings that look standard rarely measure standard. Every panel here is measured into the finished opening, because glass made to a drawing is where ill-fitting enclosures start.

What we do in Masaar

  1. New shower glass installation — made-to-measure partitions and enclosures planned around your opening, from a single fixed panel to a full corner enclosure.
  2. Hinged doors — wall-to-glass and glass-to-glass doors where the room gives the door its swing.
  3. Screens & fixed walk-in glass — one calm panel, no door, sized against the real splash zone — and doors added to panels that splash.
  4. Bathtub glass screens — fixed and hinged screens sealed at the bath edge, instead of the handover curtain.
  5. Sliding doors — for the smaller bathrooms in the house, where a swing has nowhere to go.
  6. Shower glass repair — leaks, dragging doors, worn seals and tired hardware, diagnosed from photos before anyone visits; in a new community this is snagging-age work — alignment, seals and developer fittings — not age.
  7. Prices, honestly explained — the factors that move a quote, explained on the price guide — no figures are published on this page.

Typical Masaar bathrooms — and what new owners change

The Masaar pattern is the handover pattern, and it repeats from street to street:

  • The open shower that looked fine at viewing. A tiled shower area with no enclosure, or a panel too short for the splash zone, behaves differently at viewing pace than at family pace. Owners usually live with it for a month, then close it properly — how a closed line is meant to keep water in is set out in our guide to how hinged doors keep water in.
  • The standard screen, upgraded. Where a basic framed screen was fitted, it is commonly the first thing replaced once the rest of the home is furnished: it reads cheap against a new bathroom, and a made-to-measure 10mm enclosure is the finish the house was sold as.
  • Snagging-age faults. Doors a fraction out of alignment, seals that never sat right, silicone lines that were rushed at build pace. None of it is age; all of it is put right as repair work, and photos usually show which it is.
  • The family bath curtain. Replaced with a sealed glass screen in most homes within the first year — it is the smallest job on this page and the one that changes daily use most.

If you have just taken keys, send photos before you decide anything: what the developer fitted is sometimes better than it looks, and we will tell you when it is.

How it works

  1. Send photos on WhatsApp — wide shots of the shower or bath, a close-up of any existing glass or fault, your rough sizes, and that you are in Masaar. Most quotes and diagnoses start there.
  2. We measure — the opening is the specification. True widths, levels and swing or slide paths are checked on site before any glass is cut.
  3. Glass is made — panels are cut and finished to those measurements, with hardware matched to your chosen finish.
  4. Install and seal — fitted and aligned on the day; water testing and first use follow the sealant’s curing time, confirmed in writing at handover; a repair is checked with you watching.

Frequently asked questions

We are taking handover of a new Masaar villa. When should the glass be sorted?

As soon as the tiling is finished and the bathroom is ready to measure — for most owners that means during the snagging period, before the house is fully furnished. Message us with photos when you get the keys: we measure the finished opening, and the glass is made to that, not to the developer’s drawing.

Our shower was handed over open, with no enclosure. Where do we start?

With photos. The layout choices — hinged door, fixed panel plus door, corner enclosure — depend on the opening’s width, where a door can swing, and how wide the splash zone really is. Those are answered from your bathroom at measurement, and the honest recommendation comes before any figures.

The developer’s screen in our ensuite looks basic. Is replacing it straightforward?

Usually, yes. The opening is measured as found, the old screen comes out, and a made-to-measure 10mm enclosure goes in. If what was fitted is actually sound and only the seals or alignment disappoint, we will say so — new communities generate enough real work without inventing more.

We are fitting out the whole villa at handover. Can the family bathroom’s bath screen be part of the same job?

Yes — and at handover it is usually planned that way. While the house is being finished, each bathroom is measured as its own tiling and final levels are completed, so the ensuite glass and the screen over the family bath sit in one sequence rather than two separate projects. Send photos of both rooms and tell us where each stands — snagging, tiled, or ready — and the measuring and fitting are ordered around your move-in, so the bathrooms the family uses first are finished first.

How do we get a price for a Masaar bathroom?

Send photos and rough sizes on WhatsApp. Made-to-measure glass is priced from the measured opening, the system and the hardware finish — the price guide explains what moves a quote up or down, and the exact figure follows measurement, never precedes it.
