AREA — ABU DHABI

Custom shower glass, measured for Abu Dhabi homes.

ShowerTubGlass measures, makes and installs custom shower glass across Abu Dhabi — in the big villa bathrooms of Khalifa City, the tower apartments of Al Reem Island, and everywhere in between. New installations and honest repairs, in 10mm glass with hardware in chrome, black or gold, resolved around the opening you actually have: the true width, the out-of-square corners, the swing or slide path. Send photos of your bathroom on WhatsApp and the conversation starts there.

Communities we cover in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi’s bathrooms come in two broad shapes — generous villa ensuites and compact apartment bathrooms — and the right glass system differs between them. We cover:

Villa communities

  • Khalifa City — villa-heavy streets with large family bathrooms and master ensuites; wide openings that suit hinged doors and fixed-plus-door layouts.
  • Yas Island — Yas Acres, West Yas and Yas Greens villas, and the Ansam apartment buildings; newer homes where glass is often fitted as part of finishing or a first upgrade from the developer standard.
  • Al Raha — Al Zeina, Al Bandar and Al Muneera apartments and townhouses, and the Al Raha Gardens villas behind them.
  • Saadiyat Island — Saadiyat Beach Villas and Mamsha Al Saadiyat; premium bathrooms where black and gold hardware finishes are the common request.

Apartment communities

  • Al Reem Island — Sun & Sky Towers, Marina Square, Gate Towers and The Bridges. Compact bathrooms where sliding doors and bath screens earn their place, and where ageing seals and hinges in rented flats are a steady repair ask.

Also covered across the emirate: Al Reef, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Al Falah, Golf Gardens, Hydra Village, Al Jubail Island, Hudayriyat, the Corniche and Al Bateen, and Al Mushrif. If your community is not named, message us — the list grows by demand, and if we cannot cover you we will say so plainly.

What we do in Abu Dhabi

  1. New shower glass installation — made-to-measure partitions and enclosures, planned around your opening.
  2. Shower glass repair — leaks, dragging doors, worn seals and tired hardware, diagnosed from photos first.
  3. Hinged doors — wall-to-glass and glass-to-glass doors where the room has swing clearance.
  4. Sliding doors — the panel stays in the line of the opening; the answer for Reem Island-sized bathrooms.
  5. Screens & fixed walk-in glass — one calm panel, no door, sized against the real splash zone.
  6. Bathtub glass screens — fixed and hinged screens sealed at the bath edge, instead of a curtain.
  7. Prices, honestly explained — the factors that move a quote up or down, explained in full.

Repairs we are asked for in Abu Dhabi

The repair pattern here splits by housing type. In Khalifa City and Al Raha villas it is usually scale: big doors that have dropped on their hinges, long seals that have perished, silicone that has let go. On Al Reem Island it is wear in rented apartments — doors that leak where they close, magnetic strips that no longer line up, rollers that stick. Both are everyday work for us: leaking doors, dragging and sagging doors, broken or corroded hinges, worn seals and silicone, sticking sliding rollers, and cracked panels made safe and replaced. The full repair picture — and the honest repair-or-replace verdict — is on the repair page.

How it works

  1. Send photos on WhatsApp — wide shots of the shower or bath, a close-up of any fault, your rough sizes and your community. Most quotes and diagnoses start there.
  2. We measure — the opening is the specification. True widths, levels and swing or slide paths are checked on site before any glass is cut.
  3. Glass is made — panels are cut and finished to those measurements, with hardware matched to your chosen finish.
  4. Install and seal — fitted and aligned on the day; water testing and first use follow the sealant’s curing time, confirmed in writing at handover; a repair is checked with you watching.

Frequently asked questions

Do you cover both villas and apartments in Abu Dhabi?

Yes — from Khalifa City villas to Reem Island tower flats. The system advice differs (apartment bathrooms usually favour sliding doors or bath screens; villa ensuites have room for hinged doors and walk-in panels), and we will tell you which suits your room at measurement.

My Reem Island bathroom is small — hinged or sliding?

Usually sliding: the panel stays in the line of the opening instead of swinging into the room, so nothing else has to move out of its arc. Send a photo with rough sizes and we will confirm what the opening can take.

I am in a tower — do I need building management approval to change my shower glass?

Many Abu Dhabi buildings ask for a work permit or NOC for contractor visits, and some have rules about working hours and lift booking. Check with your building management first; we can supply the job details you need for the application, and we will work within the slot they give us.

Can you match the black or gold fittings in my Saadiyat bathroom?

Hardware is available in chrome, black and gold, and hinges, handles and seals are matched to your existing finish wherever possible — send a close photo of the current fittings with your message.

My villa shower door drags on the floor — is that a repair or a new door?

Usually a repair: a dragging door has typically slipped on its hinges, and adjustment or hinge replacement restores the gap. If the glass itself is damaged, we will say so from your photos before any visit is booked.
