AREA — DUBAI

Custom shower glass, measured for Dubai homes.

Dubai is where ShowerTubGlass does most of its work — the villa ensuites of Arabian Ranches and DAMAC Hills, the older family villas of Jumeirah and Umm Suqeim where the original glass has years behind it, and the apartment towers of the Marina and JLT. We measure, make and install custom shower glass across the emirate, and repair what is already there as honestly as we fit new: 10mm glass, hardware in chrome, black or gold, every panel resolved around the opening you actually have. Send photos of your bathroom on WhatsApp and the conversation starts there.

  • Arabian Ranches 1 — Al Reem 1, 2 and 3, Saheel, Palmera, Terranova, Al Mahra, Mirador, Savannah, Hattan and the Polo Homes. Dubai’s original villa community: generous ensuites, and in the earliest phases the original glass is well into its second decade — repairs and upgrades in equal measure.
  • Arabian Ranches 2 & 3 — Casa, Rosa, Yasmin, Rasha, Lila, Samara and Azalea in Ranches 2; Joy, Spring, Sun, Bliss and Caya in Ranches 3, where handovers are still running and glass is often fitted as homes are finished.
  • DAMAC Hills & DAMAC Hills 2 — Golf Town, The Field, The Flora and Richmond in Hills 1; the Mulberry, Albizia and Claret clusters in Hills 2. Big family bathrooms and master ensuites.
  • Mudon — Rahat, Arabella 1–3, Al Salam, Naseem and Al Lily; family villas with bathrooms that suit hinged doors and fixed-plus-door layouts.
  • Jumeirah Park — the Legacy and Regional districts, with Jumeirah Islands and Jumeirah Heights alongside.
  • Jumeirah Golf Estates
  • Emirates Living
  • The Springs, The Meadows & Emirates Hills — Springs 1–15 and Meadows 1–9; villa bathrooms where the original glass is ageing and dropped doors and perished seals are the common call.
  • Palm Jumeirah — Garden Homes and Signature Villas on the fronds; large ensuites where black and gold hardware finishes are the common request.
  • Al Furjan — the villa and townhouse side of the community.
  • Town Square
  • Villanova

Established villa districts:

  • Jumeirah & Umm Suqeim 1–3 — older independent villas; the repair heartland: ageing hinges, seals and silicone.

Repairs we are asked for in Dubai

Dubai’s repair pattern follows its housing. In the older villa districts — Ranches 1, Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim, The Springs — it is age: doors that have dropped on their hinges and touch the floor, seals gone hard, silicone peeled or blackened, hinges corroding at the fixings. In the towers it is wear in rented apartments — doors that leak where they close and rollers that stick. And across the villa communities there is a third pattern we are known for: the fixed panel fitted with an open gap that has never kept water in, converted to a proper hinged door hung glass-to-glass from the existing panel. Add leaking doors, broken or worn hinges, and previous installations that still leak, and that is the week’s work. The full repair picture — and the honest repair-or-replace verdict — is on the repair page.

How it works

  1. Send photos on WhatsApp — wide shots of the shower or bath, a close-up of any fault, your rough sizes and your community. Most quotes and diagnoses start there.
  2. We measure — the opening is the specification. True widths, levels and swing or slide paths are checked on site before any glass is cut.
  3. Glass is made — panels are cut and finished to the sizes taken on site, with hardware matched to your chosen finish.
  4. Install, seal, test — mechanical checks are done on the day, and water testing and first use follow the sealant’s timing, confirmed in writing at handover; a repair is checked with you watching.

Frequently asked questions

Do you cover both villas and apartments in Dubai?

Yes — from Arabian Ranches villas to Marina and JLT tower flats. The system advice differs (apartment bathrooms usually favour sliding doors or bath screens; villa ensuites have room for hinged doors and walk-in panels), and we will tell you which suits your room at measurement.

Our Arabian Ranches shower door drags on the floor and leaks — repair or a new door?

Usually a repair: dragging means the door has dropped on its hinges, and leaking at that age is typically perished seals and silicone; all are standard repairs while the glass itself is sound. Send photos and we will give you the verdict before any visit is booked.

We have a fixed panel with an open gap and water escapes — can a door be added?

In most cases, yes: a hinged door can be hung glass-to-glass from the existing fixed panel, closing the gap the panel left open. It is one of the conversions we are asked for most in Dubai’s villa ensuites — the existing panel is checked and measured first, and if it is not sound enough to hang a door from, we will say so.

We are taking handover of a new villa in Ranches 3 or DAMAC Hills 2 — when should the glass go in?

As soon as the tiling is finished and the bathroom is ready to measure. Message us during your snagging period: we measure the finished opening, and the glass is made to that — not to the developer’s drawing, which is where ill-fitting glass usually starts.

I am in a tower — do I need building management approval to change my shower glass?

Many Dubai buildings ask for a work permit or NOC for contractor visits, and some set working hours and lift-booking rules. Check with your building management first; we can supply the job details you need, and we will work within the slot they give us.
