Shower Glass in Mina Al Arab
Mina Al Arab is Ras Al Khaimah’s waterfront community — villas and townhouses arranged around lagoons and the shoreline, in clusters including Granada, Malibu and the lagoon-side homes. It is the emirate’s second centre of villa life after Al Hamra, and its bathrooms come in the two sizes waterfront communities produce: generous villa ensuites, and townhouse bathrooms planned a good deal tighter. ShowerTubGlass measures, makes and fits custom shower glass across Mina Al Arab — enclosures planned for each, bath screens for the family bathrooms, and honest repairs to the glass already there. The process starts with photos on WhatsApp, and the wider picture is on our shower glass in Ras Al Khaimah page. Everything is made to measure in 10mm glass, with hardware in chrome, black or gold, resolved around the opening you actually have.

The homes and bathrooms of Mina Al Arab
Mina Al Arab’s housing is waterfront villas and townhouses, and the split runs through every bathroom decision:
- Villa master ensuites have the room for the full choice: a hinged door with a fixed panel beside it, a fixed walk-in panel, or a corner layout where the shower wraps a wall — the arrangements our corner and L-shaped enclosure layouts guide works through.
- Townhouse bathrooms are planned tighter, and the guest and family bathrooms tighter still. There, a sliding door in the line of the opening takes no floor from the room — the case set out in our guide to sliding doors for small bathrooms.
- Family bathrooms commonly pair a bath with a shower over it, which makes a fitted bath screen the standard companion job in both housing types.
- Waterfront air reaches the hardware. Finishes and fixings in homes on the water live in sea air and show it sooner; on repairs, hardware condition is assessed alongside the glass, not assumed.
What we do in Mina Al Arab
- New shower glass installation — made-to-measure partitions and enclosures planned around your opening, from a single fixed panel to a full corner enclosure.
- Shower glass repair — leaks, dragging doors, worn seals and tired hardware, diagnosed from photos before anything is arranged.
- Hinged doors — wall-to-glass and glass-to-glass doors where the room gives the door its swing — the villa ensuite’s layout.
- Sliding doors — the townhouse bathroom’s answer: no swing, and no floor space taken.
- Screens & fixed walk-in glass — one calm panel, no door, sized against the real splash zone.
- Bathtub glass screens — fixed and hinged screens sealed at the bath edge, instead of a curtain.
- Prices, honestly explained — the factors that move a quote, explained on the price guide — no figures are published on this page.
Typical Mina Al Arab bathrooms — and what goes wrong in them
The pattern here follows the housing: two bathroom sizes, and one environmental fact.
- Villa ensuites outgrow their first glass. Original enclosures in the earlier homes are reaching the age of perished seals, settling doors and tired silicone — renewal work while the glass is sound, and replacement where a bathroom is renovated properly.
- Townhouse showers that soak the floor. Compact bathrooms fitted with a short panel or an open entry show their splash zone in daily use. The fixes are a sliding door across the opening, a longer panel, or a door added to the panel — chosen from the room at measurement.
- Hardware ages faster by the water. Hinges, handles and fixings in lagoon-side and shore-side homes carry sea air as well as hard water; pitting and stiffness arrive earlier than inland, and renewing the hardware set is often the whole job.
- Curtains over family baths. The shower-over-bath is standard in the townhouses and usually starts with a rail and curtain; a sealed glass screen is the upgrade most families make first.
- Guest bathrooms are the honest test. The ensuite gets specified; the guest bathroom in a townhouse is where a short panel and a hope were fitted instead. It is the room visitors use and the room that leaks first, and closing it properly — usually a slider or a door on the panel — is small work with an outsized effect on the house.
Send photos of the bathroom as it stands — wide shots and a close-up of any fault — and the honest route (repair, complete, or replace) is the first thing we will give you.

How it works
- Send photos on WhatsApp — wide shots of the shower or bath, a close-up of any fault, your rough sizes, and that you are in Mina Al Arab. RAK work starts with photos, and most quotes and diagnoses are made from them.
- We measure — the opening is the specification. True widths, levels and swing or slide paths are checked on site before any glass is cut.
- Glass is made — panels are cut and finished to those measurements, with hardware matched to your chosen finish.
- Install and seal — fitted and aligned on the day; water testing and first use follow the sealant’s curing time, confirmed in writing at handover; a repair is checked with you watching.
Frequently asked questions
Our townhouse bathroom is compact. What glass suits it?
Usually a sliding door across the shower opening, or a fitted screen over the bath if the shower is over the tub. A sliding panel stays in the line of the opening, so the door asks nothing of a small room’s floor. Send photos and rough sizes and we will confirm which fits your layout.
Can a fixed panel with an open entry be closed with a door?
In most cases, yes, where the panel is sound: a hinged door can be hung glass-to-glass from the existing panel to close the entry the panel left open. The panel is checked and measured first, and if it is not sound enough to hang a door from, we will say so.
The fittings on our door have gone dull and stiff. Is that a repair?
Usually, yes. Hardware that has aged in sea air — hinges, handles, rollers — is renewable as a set while the glass is sound, and the seals are renewed in the same scope. A close-up photo of the worst fitting tells us most of it.
Do you cover the rest of Ras Al Khaimah as well?
Mina Al Arab sits under our Ras Al Khaimah hub, alongside Al Hamra Village and Al Marjan Island. Message us on WhatsApp with your area and photos — the conversation starts there, and if we cannot cover you we will say so plainly.
How do we get a price for a Mina Al Arab bathroom?
Send photos and rough sizes on WhatsApp. Made-to-measure glass is priced from the measured opening, the system and the hardware finish — the price guide explains what moves a quote up or down, and the exact figure follows measurement, never precedes it.
