Shower Glass in Al Raha Beach & Al Raha Gardens

Al Raha is two communities sharing one name and one shoreline. On the beach side stand the apartment and townhouse buildings of Al Zeina, Al Bandar and Al Muneera — bathrooms at an apartment scale, showers over baths, compact ensuites. Behind them, Al Raha Gardens is a villa community: family homes with wide master ensuites and openings that suit proper hinged doors. ShowerTubGlass covers both, and the work differs by which side of the road you are on — sliding doors and bath screens for the beach buildings, villa-scale enclosures and scale repairs in the Gardens. Everything is made to measure in 10mm glass, hardware in chrome, black or gold. Send photos on WhatsApp to start; the emirate-wide picture is on our shower glass in Abu Dhabi page.

The two sides of Al Raha

The beach side — Al Zeina, Al Bandar, Al Muneera. Apartments and townhouses along the water. Bathrooms follow the apartment pattern: a bath in the family bathroom, a compact shower in the ensuite, and no floor space to waste on a swinging door. Much of the stock is rented, so the glass has usually served more than one household — and the work follows: perished bath-screen seals, sliding doors that stick, leaking cubicle doors. Where new glass is fitted, it is fitted to the room’s real limits — the space case for sliding in rooms like these is set out in our guide to sliding shower doors for small bathrooms.

Al Raha Gardens. Villas, and bathrooms on a villa scale: wide master ensuites that take a hinged door with a fixed panel beside it — the combinations walked through in our fixed panel and door combinations guide — family bathrooms serving a floor, and enough age on the earliest homes for the villa repair pattern to have started: doors settling on hinges, long seals perishing, silicone letting go at the tray line.

What we do in Al Raha

  1. Shower glass repair — first, because Al Raha asks for it most: leaking doors, perished seals and silicone, sticking rollers, dropped villa doors. Diagnosed from photos before anyone visits.
  2. New shower glass installation — made-to-measure enclosures and partitions, from a Gardens ensuite corner layout to a beach-side cubicle refit.
  3. Hinged doors — the Gardens’ layout: wall-to-glass and glass-to-glass doors where the room gives the swing.
  4. Sliding doors — the beach buildings’ layout: no swing, and no floor space taken.
  5. Screens & fixed walk-in glass — one fixed panel, no door, where the layout and the splash zone honestly allow it.
  6. Bathtub glass screens — fixed and hinged screens sealed at the bath edge; the beach-side family bathroom’s standard upgrade from a curtain.
  7. Prices, honestly explained — what moves a quote, explained on the price guide; no figures are published on this page.

Typical Al Raha bathrooms — and what goes wrong in them

  • On the beach side, seals and rollers wear first. Bath-screen bottom seals perish and wet the floor at every shower; sliding cubicle doors collect scale in their tracks and begin to judder; magnetic closing strips drift out of line in flats that have changed tenants. All standard repairs while the glass is sound.
  • In the Gardens, scale is the theme. A wide villa door is a heavy door; over years it drops a few millimetres on its hinges and starts to drag or to close with a gap, and the long seal runs of a big ensuite perish along their whole length. How a hinged door line is supposed to stay sealed is covered in our guide to how hinged doors keep water in — and restoring it is adjustment, hinges and seals, not a new door.
  • Silicone at the tray line lets go quietly on both sides. It lifts at the ends, blackens, and leaks into the floor edge while the shower looks fine. Renewal is unglamorous and entirely effective.
  • Curtains persist in beach-side family bathrooms long after the household is tired of them; a sealed glass screen over the bath is the one-visit end to the wet floor.

Repairs are diagnosed from photos, so the verdict — repair, or honest replacement — arrives before any visit is booked, whichever side of Al Raha you are on.

How it works

  1. Send photos on WhatsApp — the shower or bath, a close-up of any fault, rough sizes, and whether you are beach side or in the Gardens. Most quotes and diagnoses start there.
  2. We measure — the opening is the specification: true widths, levels and swing or slide paths checked on site before any glass is cut. (Beach-side buildings may need a management permit for the visit — see the FAQs.)
  3. Glass is made — cut and finished to those measurements, hardware matched to your chosen finish.
  4. Install and seal — fitted and aligned on the day; water testing and first use follow the sealant’s curing time, confirmed in writing at handover; a repair is checked with you watching.

Frequently asked questions

We are in Al Zeina / Al Bandar / Al Muneera. What fits an apartment bathroom here?Usually a sliding door for the ensuite cubicle and a sealed screen over the family bath. Neither asks for swing room, and both are made to the opening as measured — developer cubicle sizes vary more between buildings than the brochures suggest. Send photos and the opening’s rough width and we will confirm the layout before a visit.
Our Al Raha Gardens ensuite door has dropped and scrapes. Repair or replace?Repair, in most cases: the door has settled on its hinges, and adjustment or hinge renewal restores it, with perished seals renewed in the same scope. Replacement is for cracked or chipped glass — send photos and you will have the verdict first.
Do the beach-side buildings need management approval for a fitting visit? Many do — a work permit or NOC, set hours and lift rules are common in managed buildings. Check with your building management before we schedule and we will supply the job details for the application. The Gardens’ villas, being individual homes, rarely raise the question.
Can both bathrooms in our townhouse be done together?Yes — a beach-side townhouse often pairs an ensuite cubicle with a bath in the family bathroom. Send photos of both in one message; they are diagnosed, quoted and measured together, and the screens and doors are made in one run.
The bath screen seal in our Al Muneera flat has perished. Is that worth a visit on its own?Yes — a perished bottom seal is a small, standard renewal, and it is the difference between a dry floor and water working toward the flat below. If the screen itself is also loose at its wall profile or too short for the shower’s spray, we will say so from your photos rather than reseal a screen that needs more.
